Reporting into the Director Organisational Performance, the Manager People, Culture & Safety provides strategic and operational leadership across Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Organisational Development and Payroll. Leading a multidisciplinary team, the Manager will drive organisational development initiatives, design and implement staff development programs and embed initiatives that align workforce capability with organisational strategy. The manager is focused on internally supporting and uplifting the organisation through modern, professional and contemporary people practices that strengthen culture, capability and overall workforce experience.

To be successful in this role, you are a strategic and values-driven leader with demonstrated experience leading a Human Resources function within a complex organisation. You possess a strong understanding of Victorian local government legislation, industrial relations frameworks and contemporary HR and safety practices, supported by deep technical knowledge across workforce planning, compliance and payroll systems. As an exceptional leader, you possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels. Local government experience highly regarded.
