Our client is a large and complex organisation delivering essential services to the community. With a diverse workforce and a strong focus on continuous improvement, the organisation is investing in leadership capability, workforce development and organisational effectiveness to support its future direction.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Manager Organisational Development & Capability
to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for organisational development, learning and development, talent pathways and workforce capability.
Reporting to a senior People leader, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership across a broad organisational development portfolio. Working closely with executive leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will lead the design and delivery of practical organisational development initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, workforce planning, employee development and organisational performance.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building capability over time rather than introducing change for change's sake. You will work within a complex governance environment where influencing stakeholders, understanding organisational maturity and delivering practical outcomes will be critical to your success. Leading an experienced team of organisational development professionals, you will create clarity, prioritise competing initiatives and ensure programs are delivered in a way that achieves meaningful and sustainable business outcomes.
To be successful, you will bring demonstrated experience leading organisational development within a large and complex organisation. You will possess deep expertise across organisational development together with proven leadership capability and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business. Experience developing leadership programs, capability frameworks, organisational design initiatives or workforce strategies will be highly regarded.
You will be recognised as a collaborative and approachable leader who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups will be essential.
Candidates from large, complex environments such as government, utilities, infrastructure, healthcare, higher education, community services or other highly governed organisations will be highly regarded.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
This search is being carried out in strict confidence. The organisation's identity will be shared only with candidates who are shortlisted.
