Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager Investment Attraction & Advocacy provides strategic and operational leadership to drive sustainable economic growth across Horsham Rural City Council. This critical role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Investment Attraction Strategy, proactively securing investment, and positioning the municipality as an investment ready regional centre of choice. Working across government, industry, education, business and community sectors, the Manager will build strong partnerships, advocate for enabling policy and infrastructure funding, and facilitate new and expanded business activity that delivers economic diversification and local job creation.

To be successful in this role, you are a strategic leader with extensive experience in economic development or investment attraction. You bring a deep understanding of regional economic drivers, workforce development, precinct activation and stakeholder advocacy, with a strong track record of success securing investment, funding and policy outcomes. With strong stakeholder engagement, you are highly skilled in building trusted relationships across government, business and community sectors, while being confident in working with senior decision-makers. You have excellent project management skills and have demonstrated experience balancing long term strategic priorities with data informed decision making. You know how to use a repertoire of communication tools to the best advantage to promote Horsham and the region. Local government experience highly regarded.
