Situated just 6km from Melbourne's CBD, Maribyrnong City Council is a diverse and vibrant city undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, gentrification, and a transitioning economy bringing an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities. Maribyrnong City Council is seeking a dynamic, contemporary people leader to help deliver on their vision for an inclusive, flourishing, progressive city that cares for both its residents and its environment.
Reporting to the Director Customer and Corporate Services, this role will provide strong advice and direction to the wider organisation while leading and managing the Technology Services department. This role will provide expert strategic and operational advice, advising Council and senior management on information technology programs, with an emphasis on customer service and business improvement outcomes. The Manager Information Technology Services will lead the delivery of modern infrastructure/software upgrades and implement new ways of working that will positively impact Council and the community. The Manager Information Technology Services will manage and motivate the team to support Council to deliver exceptional customer service to staff, while improving the technology user-experience for the boarder community.
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated success in leading an information technology function in a complex service delivery environment. You will be an exceptional people leader, with a proven track record of empowering staff and fostering a positive and motivated workplace culture. You have experience in technology transformation with the strong commercial acumen and communication skills required to influence a range of diverse stakeholders. An understanding of public sector, critical infrastructure, service delivery or regulated industries. You are highly regarded for your change management skills, coupled with your ability to navigate seamlessly between operational tasks and strategic outcomes.
