  • Drive high-quality service delivery across a large portfolio
  • Delivery exceptional outcomes for the City

The City of Kingston, located approximately 20 km south of Melbourne, is a vibrant municipality that offers the perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty. Stretching along the northeastern shores of Port Phillip Bay, Kingston is home to picturesque beaches, world-class golf courses, expansive reserves, and tranquil wetlands—making it a highly desirable place to live, work, and visit.

The Council is committed to fostering a resilient, inclusive, and diverse community, with a strong focus on becoming Victoria’s most liveable and sustainable city. Through strategic planning and meaningful community engagement, Kingston continues to enhance its infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and cultural offerings, ensuring a high quality of life for its residents.

Reporting to the General Manager Community Strengthening, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality services, policy development, and providing strategic advice to Council in support of children, young people, and families across the City of Kingston. The role leads a high-performing portfolio, driving excellence in service delivery, financial sustainability, and customer experience. The Manager will oversee key service areas including Maternal and Child Health, Youth Services, Children’s Services Partnerships, Family Support Services, and Children’s Centres, while also representing the City at relevant forums and building long term relationships with a range of stakeholders.
