The Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking an experienced and values-driven Manager, Community Services to lead one of Victoria’s most diverse and high-profile community portfolios. Reporting to the Director Communities, this pivotal role will provide strategic and people-focused leadership across a broad range of services including Early Years and Community Care, Child and Family Services, Youth Services and Libraries. You will guide a team of over 140 staff through the delivery of accessible, high-quality programs that meet the evolving needs of a growing and diverse community. With a strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration, you will ensure that community programs are sustainable, inclusive and responsive, while providing expert advice to the Executive team, CEO and Council on future service planning and development.

To succeed, you’ll bring extensive leadership experience in community services or complex service delivery environments, ideally within the public sector or an aligned industry. You will demonstrate the ability to translate strategic vision into tangible outcomes, supported by strong financial and commercial acumen. A confident communicator and relationship builder, you’ll engage effectively with community organisations, service partners, and all levels of government to enhance wellbeing, participation and social connection.
