Reporting to the Director City Delivery, the Manager City Safety and Amenity leads a diverse and high impact portfolio spanning Animal Management, Environmental Health, Litter Prevention, Local Laws, Fire Prevention, Parking Enforcement and the School Crossing Program. This critical role brings these services together to operate in a coordinated and integrated way, delivering a more holistic and community focused approach to safety. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will build capability, foster a positive and high performing culture, and support staff through change. The Manager Community Safety combines strategic and operational leadership, with responsibility for shaping direction, delivering key policies and programs, and overseeing planning, budgeting and performance

To be considered, you will bring senior leadership experience within a regulatory, compliance or community safety environment, ideally within local government or a similarly complex environment. You will demonstrate strong expertise in strategy development, policy interpretation, financial management and legislative compliance, along with a proven ability to lead, influence and deliver through others. As an experienced leader, you bring highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, underpinned by sound judgement and strong political awareness, enabling you to represent Council effectively and navigate complex issues.
