Learning & Development Advisor - Immediate start

Human Resources & Recruitment

Contract until December 2026 | $54.01 per hour + super | Maroochydore and North Lakes sites

Are you an experienced Learning & Development professional who can combine strong stakeholder relationships with the practical delivery of learning solutions?

We are partnering with a large, complex essential services organisation to recruit an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to join their People, Culture and Safety team on a labour hire contract through until the end of December 2026, with potential for extension.

With the ability to move between either Maroochydore or North Lakes, this is an opportunity to join a busy L&D function supporting learning and capability across a diverse workforce.

This role will suit someone who enjoys getting things done. You'll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities and a high volume of work while building strong relationships with leaders, subject matter experts, training providers and stakeholders across the organisation.

The opportunity
Working closely with the Learning & Development Manager and broader L&D team, you will partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning requirements and coordinate, develop and manage learning solutions across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to undertake training needs analysis and identify capability requirements
  • Contributing to the design, development, delivery and review of learning programs and interventions
  • Developing and maintaining skills and training matrices and training plans
  • Managing safety training, technical training, qualifications and professional development programs
  • Coordinating learning programs to maintain the currency of employee skills and qualifications
  • Supporting and managing smaller-scale L&D projects from planning through to delivery
  • Managing learning activities through the Learning Management System (LMS), including scheduling, communication, administration and case management
  • Monitoring attendance, completion and compliance and providing reporting to key stakeholders
  • Evaluating learning programs and using participant and stakeholder feedback to improve effectiveness
  • Engaging and managing external training providers
  • Working across multiple priorities and delivering outcomes within a busy, high-volume environment
  • Supporting procurement, training resources and other practical requirements associated with successful program delivery.

What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, we are specifically looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in Learning & Development, ideally gained within a corporate or similarly complex organisational environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Learning & Development, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a similar relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and delivering learning strategies, programs and solutions - not solely coordinating training
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary learning practices and adult learning principles
  • Experience conducting training needs analysis and translating business requirements into practical learning solutions
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and/or HRIS learning modules
  • Technology literacy, including exposure to learning design tools and eLearning development
  • Experience managing smaller projects, competing priorities and a high volume of work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Highly developed relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively with leaders, subject matter experts and employees at different levels
  • The ability to understand different learner needs and develop appropriate solutions for both field-based and office-based employees
  • A collaborative, accountable approach and a strong focus on internal customer service.
  • Current drivers licence and own transport

Experience across different learning development software and LMS platforms will be highly regarded.

Why consider this opportunity?
This is a hands-on L&D role where you'll have the opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of learning initiatives rather than focusing on one narrow area.

You’ll join an established People, Culture and Safety function and work across a diverse operational and corporate workforce and work with stakeholders across the organisation to support technical capability, professional development and workforce learning.

Contract: ASAP start through to 31 December 2026, with potential for extension

Rate: $54.01 per hour + superannuation

Location: Maroochydore and North Lakes
