As the senior authority for hosting platforms, you will define standards, govern solution design, and lead modernisation initiatives that uplift automation, operational maturity, and service reliability across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-integrated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead enterprise hosting platforms across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, setting standards and driving resilience, security, scalability, and automation.
- Act as the senior technical authority and highest-level escalation point for complex hosting and operating system issues.
- Define and maintain hosting standards covering operating systems, patching, automation, disaster recovery, security baselines, and compliance.
- Lead platform modernisation initiatives, improving automation, lifecycle management, availability, and operational maturity.
- Govern disaster recovery design, replication strategies, and cross-site resilience for critical systems.
- Drive capacity planning, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management to ensure long-term platform sustainability.
- Evaluate emerging hosting, operating system, and automation technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing hosting platform team, fostering strong engineering practices and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and technical guidance, and support professional development.
- Promote knowledge sharing, cross-skilling, and consistent engineering standards across the team.
- Contribute to on-call leadership and ensure appropriate operational coverage and escalation pathways.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business and application requirements and align hosting services accordingly.
- Communicate platform roadmaps, risks, and changes clearly to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and influence technical outcomes to deliver value, reliability, and compliance.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior engineering, lead, or platform leadership role within large enterprise environments.
- Strong experience operating and governing enterprise hosting platforms in 24×7 production environments.
- Deep expertise in enterprise operating systems (Windows Server and/or Linux) and hosting architectures.
- Experience managing hybrid environments, including cloud-hosted workloads (e.g. AWS or Azure).
- Proven experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and cross-site resilience for critical systems.
- Strong background in automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management).
- Solid understanding of security frameworks, compliance, and governance in regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and operate as a senior technical authority.
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to container platforms or platform-as-a-service technologies.
- Cloud architecture or infrastructure certifications (AWS, Azure, Microsoft).
- ITIL or service management experience.
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to take true ownership of enterprise hosting platforms
within a global healthcare environment, combining deep technical authority with people leadership, strategy, and long-term platform evolution. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring systems that support patient care and clinical operations are secure, resilient, and future-ready.
