About the Role
As the Lead Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting a large-scale enterprise transformation, ensuring the organisation is operationally prepared to adopt and sustain new systems, processes and ways of working.
Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors and program leadership, you will lead business analysis activities across the Business Readiness Stream, translating complex requirements into practical outcomes and supporting a successful transition into business-as-usual operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead business analysis activities, providing guidance and mentoring to other Business Analysts.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, identify business impacts and define current and future-state processes.
- Develop and maintain business readiness assessments, frameworks and reporting to support implementation and go-live decisions.
- Analyse end-to-end business processes, customer operations and associated system integrations.
- Conduct change impact assessments and collaborate with Change and Communications teams to support stakeholder engagement, training and adoption.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify operational risks, dependencies and readiness requirements.
- Support testing, UAT, cutover planning, hypercare and the transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve business analysis, operational processes and overall efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Lead Business Analyst with a strong background in utilities, ideally within the electricity sector. You will have demonstrated experience supporting large-scale transformation programs, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, lead complex analysis activities and drive business readiness outcomes.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst within complex enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong utilities industry experience, with electricity distribution, energy retail or metering experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience across billing systems, Customer Information Systems (CIS) or customer and revenue management platforms.
- Proven experience supporting business readiness, operational transition, implementation and change management activities.
- Strong capabilities in requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and current/future-state process design.
- Experience conducting change impact assessments and supporting stakeholder communications, training and adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Business Analysts while engaging effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with technology teams, vendors and system integrators in complex delivery environments.
- Practical experience using AI and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot or similar technologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
