About the Role
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced Land Access Coordinator
to support early-stage development and construction activities across a large-scale infrastructure initiative. You will play a vital role in securing voluntary land access agreements, managing landholder relationships, and coordinating internally to ensure alignment between access strategies and broader project goals.
The role requires regular travel to regional communities and offers flexibility around your base location. You’ll act as a trusted point of contact for landowners and community stakeholders while ensuring that all access activities meet environmental, legal, and regulatory obligations.
About You
You are a land access or stakeholder engagement professional with at least 3 years of experience working in regional or infrastructure-focused environments. You have a solid understanding of Victoria’s land tenure systems, relevant legislation, and how to work respectfully and effectively with rural landholders.
You’re an empathetic communicator, a skilled negotiator, and confident working independently in the field. Your background may be in infrastructure, energy, agriculture, or regional property development—and you're ready to make a meaningful contribution to major projects through fair, effective land access practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement land access strategies to support survey, development, and construction activities.
- Secure and manage voluntary land access agreements with property owners.
- Act as the primary liaison for landholders, legal representatives, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure all land access work complies with environmental, heritage, and planning legislation.
- Coordinate closely with legal, construction, and environmental teams to align access timelines with project delivery goals.
- Maintain detailed records of access negotiations, agreements, and communications.
- Support the development and application of Site Access Plans in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor progress and risks associated with land access activities, identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Represent the organisation in community engagement efforts and support stakeholder relations in regional areas.
