The Role
Reporting to an approachable General Counsel with a wealth of legal expertise gained both in large law firm and public sector environments, you will be supported professionally and personally, in your transition in-house. You will work closely with the executive team, as well as senior leaders within the business.
Although no two days in this role will be alike, you’ll enjoy a diverse mix of legal matters including:
- Commercial: drafting, reviewing, and supporting contract negotiation (e.g. service agreements, government and technology consulting, SAAS agreements)
- Regulatory compliance
- Employee Relations - With a workforce of approximately 1000 employees and contractors, the legal team are regularly exposed to a variety of WHS & IR matters
- Governance – exposure to company secretarial responsibilities and sitting on the organisation’s Risk Committee.
- Ad hoc dispute
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring between two (2) and four (4) years’ post admission experience, gained in either corporate/commercial and/or employment law. Most important will be your pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, your strong commercial acumen and hunger to learn.
