Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to J2EE System Administrator to support the team on an initial 6-month contract with possible extensions.

About the Role

As J2EE System Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of IT systems and services, specifically focusing on J2EE application servers such as WebSphere and WebLogic, and Linux operating systems including SUSE and Red Hat. This role supports the deployment and release of Java EE applications across development, testing, and production environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity. It includes administration of MuleSoft APIs and active monitoring of system performance. As the administrator, you’ll provide technical expertise to support operational procedures, ensure clear communication with stakeholders, and contribute to broader IT functions as needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a skilled professional with expertise in administering WebSphere, WebLogic, and MuleSoft application servers, along with strong experience in Linux middleware administration. You’ll provide essential operational and project support for both production and non-production environments, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of critical enterprise systems. The role involves maintaining middleware infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, supporting deployments, and contributing to the smooth delivery of IT services across various stages of the system lifecycle.

The Benefits

You will be offered a 6-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent daily rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement for the duration of the assignment.
