IT Service Delivery Manager | Federal Government | Canberra (On-site)
We are looking for an experienced IT Service Delivery Manager for an initial 16-week contract with a Federal Government client based in Canberra.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading ICT service operations, driving continuous service improvement, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT support across a Microsoft-centric environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the ICT support team.
- Manage Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
- Drive service improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and executive users.
- Support the implementation of a new IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Oversee service performance, reporting and operational governance.
About you
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience as an IT Service Delivery Manager, IT Operations Manager or similar.
- Strong ITIL Service Management experience.
- Experience leading Service Desk and End User Computing teams.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and modern workplace technologies.
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Freshdesk or similar.
- Experience implementing or configuring an ITSM/ticketing platform will be highly regarded.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- An active Baseline Security Clearance (minimum).
