The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Integration Engineer, to play a hands-on role implementing integration workloads in a modern AWS-based environment. Working closely with designers, you'll bring integration patterns to life and help simplify complex systems, improving customer experience and time-to-market across the board.
The Role
You’ll own the technical implementation of integration solutions, taking designs and turning them into robust, scalable platform features.
- Deliver AWS-hosted integration workloads using industry best practices
- Build inventory of integration needs and develop components accordingly
- Implement patterns including APIs, MFT, ETL, messaging and event streaming
- Support platform aspects like role-based access control, monitoring, and alerting
- Provide technical governance to ensure alignment with SDLC and architectural standards
- Conduct shakedown testing and document technical configurations for operationalisation
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Present integration solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
About You
You’re a hands-on integration expert who thrives in cloud environments and understands infrastructure inside and out.
- Strong understanding of AWS and cloud-native integration solutions
- Experience with tools such as Workato (highly desirable), Mulesoft or Boomi
- Demonstrated experience working as a dedicated Integration Engineer/Consultant
- Exposure to infrastructure concepts (e.g., firewalls, service management)
- Experience in Financial Services is highly regarded
- Comfortable executing designs from solution architects/Designers and enhancing platform scalability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and technical leadership skills
The Benefits
- Initial 6-month contract with scope for extension, working within a multi-year program of work
- Hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the Sydney or Melbourne office
