About the Role
An experienced Integration Developer is sought to design and deliver enterprise-grade integration solutions across a complex Azure environment. This role will focus on building scalable, secure and maintainable services using Apache Camel, Groovy/Java and Spring Boot within a cloud-native architecture.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing routing and mediation solutions using Apache Camel, developing microservices and APIs in Java and Groovy, and deploying containerised applications via Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Registry. The position will work across core Azure components including Service Bus, Key Vault, Application Gateway, APIM, Azure Artifacts, Azure Data Factory, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL Database.
The role also involves writing robust unit and integration tests using JUnit 5, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, optimising performance and scalability of integration services, and ensuring security and compliance standards are upheld. Close collaboration with technical and business stakeholders will be essential to translate requirements into effective integration outcomes and resolve complex issues across enterprise systems.
About You
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years’ experience in integration development within enterprise environments
- Strong proficiency in Apache Camel for routing and mediation rules
- Solid hands-on experience with Java and Groovy in enterprise and microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of Spring Boot and cloud-native microservices design
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure, particularly Azure Container Apps and Azure Container Registry
- Sound knowledge of Azure integration patterns and services including Service Bus, Key Vault, Application Gateway, APIM, Azure Artifacts, Azure Data Factory, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL Database
- Experience with API Gateway, Docker and containerised deployments
- Strong database and SQL capability
- Experience with JUnit 5 and test-driven development practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps delivery models
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk is advantageous
- Azure or Java certifications viewed favourably
- Strong problem-solving skills with clear communication and stakeholder engagement capability
