Our client is a national not-for-profit organisation in the early childhood education sector, dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and positive workplaces for our people. We’re looking for an experienced Injury Management & Return to Work Advisor to join the Safe Work and Wellbeing team on a 3–6 month temporary contract, with the opportunity to step into a permanent vacancy.

About the role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll support employees recovering from both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses. You’ll manage claims, develop practical Recover at Work plans, and provide advice to leaders and employees to achieve the best outcomes.

You’ll also work closely with insurers, medical professionals, and internal stakeholders – always keeping people at the centre of everything you do.

What you’ll do

  • Manage workers’ compensation and rehabilitation cases in line with legislation.
  • Design and monitor tailored return-to-work plans.
  • Provide expert guidance, coaching, and support to managers and employees.
  • Build relationships with insurers, medical providers, and internal teams.
  • Support training and wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in injury management and workers’ compensation.
  • Current Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • (Desirable) Tertiary qualifications in Injury Management, Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Ability to hold or already hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
