About the Role
We are recruiting a Platform Lead – Hosting for a global healthcare organisation that currently operates a predominantly on-premises enterprise hosting environment, supporting large-scale, mission-critical clinical and corporate systems. The organisation is entering a multi-year transformation phase, with a strategic objective to evolve toward hybrid and cloud-based hosting models, while maintaining the highest standards of availability, security, and regulatory compliance.
This role is accountable for owning the current-state hosting platforms and shaping the future-state hosting strategy. You will provide senior technical leadership across the full lifecycle of this transition, from stabilising and optimising existing on-prem infrastructure, through to defining target architectures, standards, and guardrails for cloud adoption. The focus is on risk-managed, phased transformation, not wholesale lift-and-shift.
You will work closely with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, application teams, and vendors to ensure hosting decisions are technically sound, operationally sustainable, and aligned with healthcare governance requirements. Throughout the transition, you will ensure platform resilience, disaster recovery capability, and operational maturity are not compromised.

Provide end-to-end leadership for enterprise hosting platforms in a predominantly on-premises environment, ensuring stability, performance, and security.

Define and govern the roadmap for transitioning hosting platforms to hybrid and cloud architectures, balancing transformation with operational continuity.

Lead the development of target-state hosting architectures, platform standards, and operating models suitable for regulated healthcare environments.

Ensure cloud adoption aligns with enterprise architecture principles, security frameworks, data residency requirements, and operational support models.

Guide engineering teams through the transition, uplifting capability across automation, cloud integration, and modern platform practices.

Manage risk, technical debt, and stakeholder expectations throughout infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
Skills & Experience (expanded)

Demonstrated experience leading or governing large, enterprise on-premises hosting environments undergoing structured transition to hybrid or cloud platforms.

Experience operating at a senior platform or architecture leadership level, making strategic decisions across hosting, operating systems, and infrastructure services.

Proven ability to deliver infrastructure transformation in highly regulated, risk-sensitive environments such as healthcare, finance, or government.

Strong understanding of both traditional enterprise hosting models and modern cloud architectures, including their operational and governance implications.

Ability to lead multi-year platform evolution initiatives while maintaining service stability and stakeholder confidence.
