ICT Program Planner / Scheduler

Information & Communication Technology

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure an experienced Program Planner / Scheduler to support a complex, multi-stream program of work.

About the Role

As the Program Planner / Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing integrated master schedules across a complex, multi-stream program that includes both a Data Governance framework and an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). You will ensure the alignment of milestones, dependencies, and deliverables, by applying advanced scheduling methodologies such as PERT and Critical Path Method (CPM). You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, PMO, technical and data teams to create realistic timelines and proactively manage risks, delays, and interdependencies. You’ll also support executive reporting and decision-making by providing accurate schedule insights and analytics through tools like Power BI, while driving continuous improvement in scheduling frameworks, resource planning, and performance measurement baselines. Ultimately, you will play a critical role in enabling program success through disciplined planning, forecasting, and schedule governance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced professional with over five years of expertise in managing complex technical programs and enterprise IT initiatives, particularly those centred on data platforms, governance, analytics, and cloud infrastructure. You’ll be skilled in industry-standard scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, and excel at coordinating dependencies across multiple workstreams and vendors in both Agile and hybrid delivery environments. You’ll demonstrate a solid understanding of data governance, architecture, and platform engineering workflows, and combine analytical precision with strong organisational and communication skills to deliver accurate, actionable scheduling insights. Proficient in tools like JIRA, Confluence, and advanced Excel, and experienced in leveraging Power BI for reporting, you’ll bring a proactive, solution-oriented approach to navigating ambiguity and driving program success in evolving technical landscapes.

The Benefits

You will be offered a 6-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent daily rate working on an innovative and rewarding program of work. This will be a part-time role offering 8 hours per day / 5 days per fortnight.
