ICT Procurement Specialist

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a State Government Department to secure an ICT Procurement Specialist to play a critical role in delivering strategic ICT sourcing outcomes across high‑profile ICT programs within the Department, through Queensland Government contracting frameworks including QITC/GITC, and General Goods and Services, in accordance with Queensland Government and Departmental policy and procedures.


About the Role

As the ICT Procurement Specialist, you’ll operate within Strategic Sourcing and ICT Contract Management under the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework, responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing activities and ensuring strong downstream contract governance. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing approaches and Contract Management Plans to achieve procurement outcomes and realise identified benefits, managing complex, high-risk, and high-value ICT procurements in accordance with Queensland Government requirements. You’ll provide expert commercial and procurement advice, oversee contract performance through active KPI monitoring, maintain contract integrity through rigorous documentation and amendment control, and manage procurement governance processes with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. With strong capability in risk management, research and analysis of complex commercial issues, and the preparation of executive briefings and presentations, you’ll ensure sourcing outcomes are achieved within a commercially sensitive and dynamic environment.


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist with expert knowledge of strategic sourcing and contract management within the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework, bringing current and diverse experience across both public and private sector environments. You will demonstrate a high level of capability in applying QITC principles to complex ICT procurements, developing sourcing strategies, managing contract performance, and ensuring compliance with Queensland Government procurement policies. Accustomed to operating against quarterly Key Performance Indicators, you’ll deliver measurable procurement outcomes while maintaining strong governance and commercial oversight. Based primarily in Carseldine, with flexibility for CBD engagement and up to 50/50 work-from-home arrangements, you’ll effectively balance stakeholder collaboration, contract performance management, and strategic sourcing delivery within dynamic and regulated ICT environments.
