About the Company
Davidson Technology are working with a leading Federal Government Agency to secure an experienced HL7 FHIR Data Architect responsible for the design and development of clinical information products, such as HL7 FHIR Implementation Guides, and services that drive national health data interoperability improvements and other strategic priorities.
About the Role
As an HL7 Data Architect, you will lead the design and development of clinical information products and services that support national health data interoperability, including HL7 FHIR Implementation Guides and interoperable health record data models. You will apply specialist expertise across conceptual, information and implementation modelling to translate complex clinical and stakeholder requirements into high-quality, implementable standards and solutions. Working with a high degree of independence, you will provide authoritative technical advice, anticipate and resolve complex issues, undertake quality assurance and contribute to strategic planning, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to build capability across the team, support the prioritisation and delivery of work, and ensure outputs meet relevant standards, regulations and best-practice principles. A key focus will be engaging collaboratively with national and international standards bodies, Australian jurisdictions, industry and the broader health informatics community to develop and improve interoperability standards, while maintaining strong stakeholder networks and communicating complex clinical informatics concepts, products and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong hands-on experience designing and developing solutions using HL7 FHIR, with a detailed understanding of FHIR standards and associated validation and expression languages such as FHIRPath. You will have demonstrated expertise developing information models, FHIR profiles and Implementation Guides, including practical experience with HL7 authoring and publishing technologies such as the FHIR Publisher to produce standards-compliant, implementable clinical information products. You will also demonstrate sound knowledge of contemporary software source code management and version control practices, enabling effective collaboration, traceability, quality assurance and controlled development of FHIR artefacts. Your combination of technical FHIR expertise, structured development practices and understanding of health interoperability standards will enable you to contribute effectively to complex national digital health initiatives, with formal HL7 FHIR certification considered highly desirable.
This role requires Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance
(with potential for higher clearance if required) and a national police check.
The Benefits
You will be offered an excellent daily rate on a 9-month contract in a hybrid working environment.
