As part of a high-performing transport team in Perth, you will contribute to a strong pipeline of significant road and highway projects across Western Australia and nationally.
About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, opportunities exist for both Professional and Senior Highway Engineers to join a collaborative and technically respected team.
Working alongside multidisciplinary specialists, you will contribute to the design and delivery of major road and highway infrastructure projects from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:
- Delivering highway and road design packages including geometry, alignments, pavements and associated civil infrastructure
- Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, reports and technical specifications
- Coordinating design interfaces with drainage, structures, geotechnical, utilities and traffic disciplines
- Participating in design reviews, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers
- Supporting project governance, risk management and Safety in Design requirements
- Assisting construction teams through RFIs, site queries and design clarifications
- Contributing to client engagement and successful project delivery
About You
You are passionate about transport infrastructure and enjoy working within collaborative project environments to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
To be successful, you will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in highway, road or transport infrastructure design
- Knowledge of Austroads, Main Roads WA and relevant Australian standards
- Experience using OpenRoads, 12d, AutoCAD or similar design software
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
For Senior Engineers, the Following Will Be Highly Regarded
- Experience leading design packages on major infrastructure projects
- Experience reviewing and approving technical deliverables
- Capability coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Chartered status (CPEng) or progress towards chartership
