We are seeking a practical, people-focused HSE professional to join a respected infrastructure services provider on a 12-month contract. This is a boots-on-the-ground role, supporting safety, training, and wellbeing across diverse regional sites in Northern Queensland - where safety isn’t policed, it’s championed.
The Opportunity
You’ll work closely with frontline teams, contractors and leaders to embed safe work practices, coach in real time, and support injury management, training, inductions and assurance activities. This role is all about collaboration, trust-building, and explaining the “why” behind safety, not enforcing it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advise and coach teams on WHS practices and risk management.
- Lead safety inductions, refreshers, and verification of competency.
- Oversee injury management and return-to-work plans.
- Conduct field-based assurance, investigations and contractor onboarding.
- Support HSE reporting, wellbeing initiatives and committee participation.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in HSE roles in infrastructure, construction or heavy industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field.
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
- Lead ICAM investigation qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Manual Class C driver’s licence.
Why Apply?
If you enjoy being out in the field, building trust, and making a real impact on safety culture — this is the role for you. Travel, variety, and meaningful work are guaranteed.
