A rare opportunity has emerged for an accomplished aviation commercial leader to join a highly regarded Australian aviation organisation at a pivotal stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive leadership position will play a critical role in shaping the organisation's commercial future. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities and securing strategic contracts across charter, FIFO, government, defence and broader aviation markets.

This is not a traditional sales leadership role focused on account management or maintaining existing relationships. The organisation is seeking a genuine business builder; someone who has a proven track record of creating new revenue streams, winning significant contracts and opening new markets within complex operational environments.

Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will identify opportunities to maximise fleet utilisation, lead major tenders and commercial negotiations, and develop strategies that align commercial objectives with operational capability. Success in the role will require strong internal collaboration, commercial judgement and the ability to navigate a dynamic and highly regulated industry.

The ideal candidate will bring substantial aviation industry experience, particularly within charter, contract aviation, FIFO or related commercial aviation sectors. You will have demonstrated success securing new business, leading complex tender processes and developing long-term growth strategies. Exposure to government or defence related opportunities will be highly regarded, as will established stakeholder networks within these sectors.

This opportunity will appeal to an ambitious and commercially astute leader who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and is motivated by the challenge of building something rather than inheriting it. You will be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering outcomes that directly impact organisational performance.
