Davidson is delighted to partner with Engineers Australia to appoint a Head of Organisational Development- a key leadership role responsible for driving culture uplift, engagement, capability development and organisational transformation.



This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Organisational Development (OD) leader who thrives in purpose-led environments and enjoys partnering at senior levels while delivering practical, meaningful outcomes.



Why This Role Matters

Engineers Australia is in a significant phase of transformation. With a refreshed organisational strategy, a multi-year culture program about to commence (valued at ~$1M), and ongoing uplift in capability and engagement, this role is central to shaping the organisation’s future state.



You will work closely with the CEO, Group Executive, People & Workplace, the Executive Leadership Team and the Board to build a culture where people thrive, leaders excel and organisational capability is strong and future ready.



Key Focus Areas

· Lead Culture Transformation: Drive a multi-year cultural uplift program, influence senior leaders and shape behavioural change and partner with the CEO and Board on culture priorities.

· Lift Engagement & Organisational Sentiment: Own the quarterly People & Pulse Survey, lead engagement uplift work across staff and volunteers and provide insights and recommendations to Executive leaders.

· Build Leadership & Capability: Elevate leadership effectiveness and development pathways, strengthen capability frameworks and learning culture and reset executive leadership programs to cultivate strategic thinking, resilience, lasting impact and build vision and transformative results to set up the Senior Leadership Team for success ahead of the new year.

· Strengthen OD Foundations: Align all OD initiatives to the new organisational strategy, support change leadership and workforce readiness and partner closely with the Strategy & Transformation Group.

· Strategic Workforce and Talent Planning: Empowering EA through strategic workforce and talent planning, impactful Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and implementing forward-thinking learning and development strategies.




About You

You bring deep expertise in organisational development, learning, and people strategy at a senior level, complemented by a record of success leading cultural transformation, enterprise-wide change and Board engagement.



A skilled advisor, coach, and influencer, you are recognised for your ability to build trusted relationships across complex stakeholder groups and deliver practical, high-impact outcomes. Experience within a membership-based, engineering, or purpose-driven organisation will be highly regarded.



Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field are essential, with postgraduate study viewed favourably.
