The Australian Resuscitation Council is a voluntary coordinating body representing all major groups involved in the teaching and practice of resuscitation. Established in 1976, the Council fosters and coordinates the practice and teaching of resuscitation, promoting uniformity and standardisation across Australia. This is achieved through the development and publication of evidence-based guidelines and the credentialling of Advanced Life Support courses for healthcare professionals.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Education and Training will provide operational leadership across the Council’s education programs, supporting the delivery of high quality, contemporary and accessible resuscitation education. You will advise the Chief Executive Officer on education priorities and develop and implement an Education Program Strategic Plan focused on expanding provider and instructor course programs nationally, strengthening the instructor faculty and improving program quality and effectiveness.
This critical role will oversee the Council’s education functions, driving program quality, continuous improvement and effective service delivery. You will build strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, support clear communication and represent the Council across relevant sector forums.
To be considered for this role, you will bring extensive senior clinical experience and demonstrated expertise in designing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating education programs for health professionals. You will be an experienced and collaborative leader with the ability to think strategically, lead change and build capability across a diverse stakeholder environment.
