Our client, a major organisation within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Heads of Delivery to provide technology delivery leadership across significant portfolios of strategic programs, projects, enhancements and operational initiatives.
This is a senior leadership positions responsible for translating business priorities into technology outcomes, shaping delivery strategy and ensuring the successful execution of complex technology investments. You will lead experienced delivery professionals while partnering closely with senior business, technology and operational stakeholders.
This isn't purely a program delivery role. We're looking for established technology leaders who can operate across strategy, delivery, operations, architecture, risk and commercial management, while building strong teams and improving how technology is delivered across a complex enterprise environment.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Lead the successful delivery of a significant portfolio of strategic technology programs, projects and initiatives.
· Develop delivery strategies and support multi-year technology roadmaps, investment planning and prioritisation.
· Provide leadership and direction to delivery and technology teams, building a culture of accountability, quality and continuous improvement.
· Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into technology capabilities and outcomes.
· Drive strong delivery governance, performance management and modern delivery practices across Agile, Product and Hybrid environments.
· Manage portfolio budgets, strategic vendors, technology risk and operational performance while balancing cost, quality, risk and business value.
Skills and experience – To be successful in this role, you will bring:
· Extensive experience leading large-scale technology delivery portfolios and complex technology environments, ideally with 10+ years in senior technology or delivery leadership roles.
· Strong people leadership capability, with experience leading experienced delivery professionals and developing high-performing teams.
· Demonstrated experience delivering major technology modernisation, transformation and enterprise change programs.
· Strong executive stakeholder management, commercial acumen and the ability to influence technology investment, governance and delivery decisions.
Nice to haves:
· Experience within utilities, infrastructure or another complex, regulated and operationally critical environment.
· Strong understanding across enterprise architecture, cloud, integration, DevOps, cyber security, operational resilience and IT service management.
