Head of Data & Analytics | Build a Next-Gen Data Platform | Full-Time Onsite Role with Leading National Retail Group
A leading multi-brand retail group is embarking on a next-gen data transformation and we’re looking for a Head of Data & Analytics who can lead the vision and execute with sleeves rolled up.
The data platform is being rebuilt from the ground up, leveraging Microsoft Fabric (or similar tools), Power BI, and a Lakehouse architecture — and this role is about turning it into an engine for business decision-making.
This is not just a reporting clean-up job. It’s a strategic, high-impact role where your frameworks, leadership, and technical acumen will reshape how a multi-entity retail network (including sales, customer support, and operations) uses data.
What You’ll Be Doing

Own the data strategy and finalise rollout of a Microsoft Fabric–based Lakehouse (or similar) with integrated Power BI and row-level security.

Integrate 3 disparate internal systems and build a single source of truth.

Replace 40+ manual reports with 3 powerful, standardised dashboards across Sales, Customer Support, and Operations.

Lead a growing data team of engineers, analysts, and scientists; build the future-state team structure.

Guide business teams to adopt and trust data; foster data literacy and self-service BI capability.

Deploy AI/ML use cases (e.g., predictive analytics, optimisation, forecasting).

Define and govern data quality, compliance, and privacy standards.
What You Bring

10+ years in data/analytics, with 3+ years in senior leadership.

Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms, Power BI, and row-level security across multi-entity environments.

Strong background in data architecture, modelling, and governance.

Track record delivering enterprise data platforms and actionable dashboards.

Ability to energise and grow teams without micromanaging; you lead by empowering.

Bonus if you’ve worked in multi-site retail environments or transformed legacy BI teams.
