For 20 years, Yalari has been transforming the lives of Indigenous children from remote and regional communities by providing scholarships to Australia’s leading boarding schools. Beyond scholarships, Yalari delivers support programs that help students thrive academically, remain connected to culture, and grow as future leaders. Today, Yalari supports over 250 students and almost 600 alumni nationwide.

The Head of Business Services is a key leadership role accountable for strengthening operational excellence across Yalari’s core business functions. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role leads People & Culture, ICT and data analytics, marketing, risk and WHS, quality, property and facilities, volunteer management, and administration.
This role requires a commercially minded leader with demonstrated HR and people leadership experience, capable of fostering capability development, cultural alignment, and high-performing teams. You will bring proven expertise in governance and risk management, an adaptable mindset, and the entrepreneurial ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency uplift. Success will also mean building scalable systems and embedding continuous improvement while remaining grounded in Yalari’s values and purpose.

- Extensive HR/people leadership experience, including talent management, culture, and workforce capability development.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver organisational outcomes.
- Strong governance and risk management capability to safeguard integrity and sustainability.
- Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial problem-solving skills to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Financial literacy with experience aligning resources to organisational priorities.
- Relationship-building skills across staff, volunteers, schools, communities, sponsors, and government partners.
