- Lead financial control in a global, capital-intensive business
- Deliver listed-level governance, reporting and compliance
- Partner with Group CFO to support scale, growth and complexity
This global manufacturing organisation is entering a significant phase of growth and transformation, underpinned by major capital investment programs and continued international expansion.
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will lead the financial control function across the group, ensuring the business operates with the discipline, accuracy and governance expected of a listed environment.
The organisation is scaling rapidly, with increasing complexity driven by multiple large scale projects across several geographies. There is a clear mandate for a Financial Controller who can bring structure, consistency and technical strength to support this growth.
You will take ownership of financial reporting and control across APAC, the US and UK/Europe, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of information while strengthening governance frameworks and internal controls. You will work closely with the Group CFO and executive team, supporting capital planning, performance insights and broader commercial decision-making.
A key focus will be lifting systems, processes and team capability so the finance function can operate effectively at scale. You will engage regularly with external auditors, and support Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting, helping maintain confidence in the organisation’s financial position.
This role combines technical depth with influence, requiring a hands-on leader who can operate comfortably at an enterprise level.
About You
You are either a highly experienced Financial Controller, or a proven CFO who enjoys operating close to the detail, with a track record in a listed environment and a clear understanding of the expectations that come with it.
You bring strong technical accounting capability, with deep experience across IFRS and AASB, and ideally exposure to US GAAP. You have delivered statutory reporting in complex, multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environments and understand the requirements of regulators and external stakeholders.
You bring a strong understanding of governance obligations under the Corporations Act and ASX reporting expectations. You also have experience working with overseas regulatory requirements such as the SEC and UK reporting regimes. You understand the importance of robust internal controls, audit processes and financial discipline in a global setting.
You have experience working with joint venture partners and subsidiary entities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring the accuracy, consistency and integrity of reporting, including consolidation at a group level.
Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions is important, ideally within environments spanning APAC, the US and/or UK/Europe. That said, we are not seeking exact geographic alignment — rather, candidates who have successfully operated in complex, multi-jurisdiction settings and can demonstrate the capability to navigate different regulatory frameworks and environments.
Your background will be in global capital-intensive sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, mining, oil and gas, transport or agribusiness, where you have operated across multiple large-scale projects and understand long investment cycles, asset-heavy balance sheets and project-based complexity.
You are a leader who takes ownership of the finance function end-to-end, establishing the discipline, controls and team capability required to give the CFO complete confidence in the integrity, governance and performance of finance.
You operate well in fast-paced, evolving environments, bringing flexibility, adaptability and a strong team orientation. You are a credible and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders, including the executive team, JV partners and the Board.
This is a career-defining opportunity to shape financial control and governance capability in a global, growing organisation.
