About the job
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Group Financial Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential to become a permanent member. You will play a crucial role in managing and consolidating financial reports, ensuring compliance with ASX regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning.
- Prepare and post journals
- Reconciliations
- Support team members with month-end
- Business partnering to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
- Support improvements through testing and the use of tech applications to automate reporting and journal entries
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives
You will need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an ASX-listed company.
- Strong knowledge of ASX reporting requirements and IFRS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
