About the Team
You’ll be part of a 13-person procurement function with a global footprint and a Brisbane-based core. The team is known for its camaraderie, strong working relationships, and culture of collaboration. From monthly team breakfasts and weekly stand-ups to annual offsite strategy sessions, this group is as socially connected as it is professionally driven.
What You’ll Do
As Global Category Manager (Technology), you will lead key procurement projects across our global operations, focusing initially on a significant ERP tender. You’ll have ownership over approximately $150m+ million in spend and the opportunity to influence strategic decisions at the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies in partnership with stakeholders
- Lead market engagements including RFx processes and direct negotiations
- Analyse data, build business cases, and deliver category plans
- Drive cost optimisation and support revenue-enhancing initiatives
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor and procurement expert
- Build strong, transparent relationships with service and business owners
- Manage supplier performance using scorecards, reviews, and SRM frameworks
- Ensure continuity of supply and manage supplier risk
Innovation & Transformation
- Stay up to date with market trends and industry developments
- Leverage supplier insights to drive innovation
- Lead and contribute to transformation initiatives globally
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, delivers results independently, and enjoys building relationships across complex stakeholder landscapes and MUST have full working rights in Australia.
You’ll Bring:
- 7+ years of procurement and category management experience, ideally in technology
- Strong commercial acumen and contract management expertise
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver value
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills
- Knowledge of procurement governance and risk frameworks
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, or IT
