About the Opportunity
As Team Lead, you will combine technical leadership, people development, client engagement and business growth. You will have genuine autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to both project outcomes and the future direction of the business.
The work is varied and technically challenging, spanning major road and rail infrastructure, bridges, tunnels, interchanges, retaining structures, ground improvement, slope risk and disaster recovery programs. The consultancy works across the full project lifecycle, from site investigations, feasibility and tender advice through to detailed design, construction support, aerial mapping, monitoring and remedial solutions.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the delivery of complex geotechnical projects.
- Providing high-quality technical advice and practical engineering solutions.
- Developing, mentoring and supporting a growing team.
- Building strong, trusted client relationships.
- Identifying business development opportunities and contributing to tenders and proposals.
- Managing project performance, budgets, resourcing and risk.
- Contributing to strategic planning and the growth of the Brisbane business.
- Championing a culture of technical excellence, collaboration and innovation.
About you
You will be an experienced civil or geotechnical professional who enjoys solving complex problems, developing people and creating opportunities through strong client relationships.
You will bring:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- RPEQ and Chartered status, or a commitment to achieving these qualifications.
- Strong experience in geotechnical engineering, design and project delivery.
- Experience across transport, civil infrastructure or related engineering projects.
- A demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects and engage confidently with clients.
- Proven commercial and business development capability.
- A collaborative leadership style, sound judgement and a growth mindset.
- A genuine interest in helping others develop and succeed.
