General Manager Property, Delivery & Asset Management

Real Estate & Property

  • Lead a significant capital and development portfolio
  • Executive role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Work with Australia's leading property consultants - landmark projects

Few organisations can offer the diversity, purpose and complexity of this opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will join one of Australia's largest and most respected health and community service organisations at a time of significant investment across its property portfolio.

With major developments currently underway and an extensive pipeline of future projects, this is a unique opportunity to influence the delivery of assets that will support healthcare, aged care and community services for decades to come.

Rather than building a property function from scratch, you will inherit an established team, work alongside highly regarded industry consultants and development partners, and help bring greater alignment, governance and commercial discipline across a diverse capital program.

The Organisation

UnitingCare Queensland is one of Australia's largest not-for-profit providers of health, aged care and community services, supporting more than 400,000 people each year across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Its extensive property portfolio includes private hospitals, residential aged care, retirement living communities, corporate facilities, strategic land holdings and community infrastructure that collectively play a critical role in supporting the organisation's long-term strategy.

Backed by a highly capable Executive Leadership Team and a commercially focused Chief Financial Officer, property is recognised as a strategic enabler of future organisational success.

The Opportunity

This is a broad leadership role combining strategic thinking with practical delivery.

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Leadership Team and external delivery partners, you will provide oversight across a substantial portfolio of capital works, asset renewal and future development opportunities.

Current projects include a significant pipeline of future investment across South-East Queensland and regional Queensland.

Importantly, you will work with some of Australia's leading property advisors, development managers, builders and consultants. Your success will come from bringing these stakeholders together, improving collaboration across Development Managers and Project Managers, strengthening governance and reporting, and ensuring projects continue to deliver exceptional outcomes.

About You

You are an experienced property executive who enjoys working across complex stakeholder environments and delivering outcomes through influence rather than hierarchy.

You understand how to balance commercial priorities with organisational purpose and are equally comfortable discussing investment strategy with executives as you are working alongside consultants and project teams to solve delivery challenges.

Most importantly, you know how to bring people together.

You create clarity where there is complexity, establish trust quickly and build collaborative relationships that result in better project outcomes.

Your background may include major health, aged care, retirement living, infrastructure, government or large institutional property portfolios.

You will likely bring experience across capital delivery, development, portfolio management, asset strategy or large-scale property programs within complex organisations.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to leave a genuine legacy.

The projects delivered through this portfolio will directly improve the lives of thousands of Queenslanders while supporting the long-term growth of one of Australia's most respected organisations.

You'll work alongside an experienced Executive Leadership Team, partner with some of the country's leading property consultants, and help shape a portfolio that continues to evolve through significant investment and strategic development.

If you are looking for a role where commercial thinking, collaboration and purpose come together, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you.
