General Manager MND Clinical Networks & Programs – FightMND

CEO & General Management

  • Work at the intersection of government, research and clinical care to shape the future of MND outcomes
  • Lead a nationally significant, Commonwealth funded initiative delivering real impact at scale
  • Join a purpose driven organisation and play a defining role in a legacy program improving lives across Australia

FightMND is Australia’s leading independent foundation dedicated to funding world class research and improving care for people living with motor neurone disease (MND). With a strong national presence and an unwavering sense of urgency, FightMND brings together researchers, clinicians, government and the community to accelerate progress toward better treatments and ultimately a cure. At a pivotal moment in its evolution, the organisation is delivering the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network, a $40.1 million Commonwealth Government initiative representing a landmark investment in coordinated national clinical and research capability. This program brings together clinical trials, data diagnostics, workforce development and clinical care research into a coordinated national program of impact, injecting care and hope into the lives of people living with MND.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is an executive leadership role with single point accountability for the strategy, governance, and delivery of a nationally significant program of work. You will lead the design, mobilisation, and execution of the Neale Daniher MND Clinical Network, ensuring strong alignment and integration across four key program pillars: clinical trials, data and diagnostics, workforce development, and clinical care research. Operating at the intersection of government, research, clinical practice, and community, you will translate complex Commonwealth funding requirements into a disciplined, high performing national program, ensuring robust governance, financial stewardship and measurable outcomes for people living with MND.

To be successful in this role you will bring extensive senior leadership experience delivering large scale ($20M+), government funded programs within complex and regulated environments. As a credible and values driven leader, you will have a demonstrated track record of building trusted relationships across government, clinical, research and community stakeholders, and the capability to translate innovation and research into tangible health outcomes. You will demonstrate deep expertise in governance, compliance and risk management, alongside strong financial stewardship across multiyear budgets. Your leadership style will be defined by clarity, resilience, and collaboration, enabling you to navigate complexity, align diverse stakeholders and deliver enduring national impact.
