Role Overview
We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions, supporting a high-impact AI project in the utilities sector. This role will focus on developing GenAI models, optimising vector databases, and advancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows. As the AI Engineer you will
· Build and deploy production-ready AI/ML pipelines.
· Train and fine-tune LLMs and Generative AI models for enterprise applications.
· Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector database optimisations.
· Work with Python, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, and related AI/ML frameworks.
· Leverage AWS SageMaker, Azure ML/OpenAI, and GCP Vertex AI for cloud-based AI solutions.
· Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate AI into real-world systems.
About You
· Experience with transformers, diffusion models, and LLMs (GPT, BERT, Stable Diffusion, etc.).
· Proficiency in Python, NumPy, Pandas, and AI/ML libraries.
· Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, OpenSearch) and advanced RAG workflows.
· Skilled in AI/ML pipeline development, data engineering, and cloud-based AI deployments.
· Passionate about emerging AI advancements, tools and frameworks.
· Current / previous experience in utilities and data migration would be a plus
Key Requirements
· Experienced in building production-ready AI/ML solutions.
· Experience working with Generative AI, RAG, and prompt engineering.
· Experience in vector databases, AI model training, and scalable AI infrastructure.
· Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and other GenAI technology stacks.
· Strong skills in Git, DevOps, and AI model versioning.
