About the Role
This is a hands-on Financial Accountant role with responsibility for managing financial transactions, month-end and year-end processes, and delivering accurate reporting to stakeholders. You will ensure compliance with tax regulations, support financial controls, and provide insight into business performance.
Working closely with the finance team and global stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial information.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes including GL adjustments, accruals, reclassifications and reconciliations.
- Developing and maintaining costing systems, order control documentation, stock valuations, and project costing/analysis.
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance and margin analysis.
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing intercompany transactions.
- Preparing GST reports, tax computations, and ensuring statutory compliance (BAS, GST, FBT).
- Managing the fixed asset register, depreciation, additions, disposals and project closures.
- Preparing revenue recognition reports and cost of goods sold analysis.
- Delivering consolidated financial reporting through OneStream, reconciled to Microsoft Dynamics accounts.
- Supporting audit processes by preparing schedules and substantiating financial transactions.
- Producing financial and management reports for a variety of business stakeholders.
About You
You are a qualified and detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong track record in financial and management accounting. You thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, and are confident liaising with a broad range of stakeholders. You take initiative, identify opportunities to improve processes, and deliver meaningful insights to the business.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance; CPA/ACCA (qualified or qualified by experience).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and OneStream is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
- A proactive, value-adding mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
