As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in financial reporting, project support, and compliance.
About the Role
In this key position, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll provide valuable insights into financial performance, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across both finance and operations. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence company culture and enhance financial systems, ensuring they align with industry best practices. Additionally, you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence applications in finance, environmental, social, and governance reporting, as well as group consolidation and international investments and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Manage financial statements, BAS, payroll, and tax compliance

Review and manage construction contracts, variations, and claims in conjunction with project and commercial teams

Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making

Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and government bodies

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
About You:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA qualified or near completion preferred)

Experience in the construction or related industries highly regarded

Strong understanding of contract terms and commercial obligations within the construction sector

Knowledge of Australian taxation, payroll, and compliance requirements

Proficient in financial systems and adaptable to change

Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

A proactive attitude with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
