About the Company

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation on a part time basis for an initial three-month contract

Supporting the Interim Chief Financial Officer, you'll step into a key business partnering role, providing the financial and commercial insight needed to support the organisation through a period of transition. This is a hands-on role where you will partner with leaders to deliver high-quality financial reporting, governance and strategic advice.

About the Role

Working closely with the Interim CFO and operational leaders, you will:

  • Provide trusted financial business partnering across the organisation.
  • Prepare monthly financial and Board reports, delivering meaningful analysis and recommendations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and strong financial governance.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to improve business performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Assist with grant and funding reporting, ensuring compliance across government-funded programs.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring within the finance team while supporting the current finance function.

About You


We're seeking a commercially minded finance professional who can quickly establish credibility and confidently operate in a standalone business partnering capacity.

You'll bring:

  • CPA qualification (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience as a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
  • Previous experience within the not-for-profit, community services, health or government-funded sectors is highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of government funding, grant acquittals and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience preparing Board and Executive financial reports.
  • Experience using MYOB and MAGIQ (Magic) Financials or similar financial management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a practical and commercially focused way.
  • A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
