Coliban Water is one of Victoria's largest regional urban water corporations, with the main office located in Bendigo. The organisation manages over 50 reservoirs and water storage basins across North-Central Victoria, providing essential water and wastewater services to rural and urban customers across a vast area of 16,550 square kilometres. Serving 49 towns, including Bendigo, Coliban Water plays a critical role in ensuring public health and environmental sustainability through its infrastructure investments and operational excellence.
The Executive Manager, Major Projects is a newly created leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position will oversee Coliban Water’s current program across multiple sites exceeding $750mill with a $1 billion capital investment program over the next decade. This includes delivering complex, high-value infrastructure projects from business case to commissioning. The role involves managing approvals, navigating regulatory requirements, driving procurement strategies, mitigating risks, and building partnerships with government and industry stakeholders to ensure long-term water security for the region.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in delivering major infrastructure projects within industries such as water, energy, transport, or civic infrastructure. They should possess exceptional stakeholder management skills, expertise in procurement and contract negotiations, and a solid understanding of high-risk project delivery models.
