Executive Director Quality, Risk & Compliance – MannaCare

Healthcare & Medical

  • Executive leadership across quality, clinical governance, enterprise risk and compliance
  • Provide trusted assurance and advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration essential | Doncaster

MannaCare is a purpose led, community anchored aged care provider supporting residents and clients across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, predominately within the Manningham area. With a clear commitment to dignity, connection and wellbeing, MannaCare delivers a continuum of services spanning residential aged care, respite, specialist dementia support, and tailored community-based services that enable people to live safely and independently for longer. Guided by its iCARE values of Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, MannaCare is recognised for a warm, person-centred approach and a genuine focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement in everything it does.

MannaCare is now seeking an Executive Director – Quality, Risk & Compliance to take organisation-wide responsibility for the systems and frameworks that underpin safe, accountable and high-quality care. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and joining the Executive Leadership Team, the role brings together quality, clinical governance, safeguarding, compliance, enterprise risk and assurance across Residential Aged Care and Community Services.

A key part of the remit will be providing the CEO, Executive and Board with clear and independent oversight of MannaCare’s risk and assurance environment. As executive custodian of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, you will maintain oversight across strategic, operational, clinical, financial, people, cyber, compliance and reputational risk, while working with leaders across the organisation to strengthen risk ownership, controls and accountability.

Alongside this, you will lead MannaCare’s approach to clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance, including accreditation and registration, audit and assurance, incidents and complaints, SIRS and continuous improvement. A key focus will be developing MannaCare’s Quality Framework and defining the ‘MannaCare Way’, establishing a clear and consistent approach to quality across the organisation. Importantly, this is not a role that operates at arm’s length. You will work closely with operational leaders to understand what is happening across services, identify emerging issues and use evidence, trends and organisational insights to drive practical and sustained improvement.

To be successful, you will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and bring extensive quality experience gained within aged care or the broader health sector. You will have a strong working knowledge of aged care legislation, regulation and accreditation requirements, together with experience across clinical governance, audit and risk. Just as important will be your ability to exercise sound judgement, constructively challenge when required and build credible relationships from frontline teams through to the Board.
