The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is the professional body responsible for training, educating, and representing psychiatrists in Australia and New Zealand. Committed to excellence and equity in mental healthcare, the RANZCP supports its members and advocates for improved mental health outcomes across its communities. The College’s work focuses on enhancing psychiatric education, promoting access and equity through advocacy and collaboration, and fostering a connected, contemporary organisation that benefits both its members and the public. Governed by a Board of Directors, RANZCP operates with a dedicated team and numerous committees, maintaining strong relationships with governments and key stakeholders across both countries.
The College is seeking a strategic and values-driven Executive Director, Finance & Technology to help shape the future of a leading bi-national medical college. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role has end-to-end accountability for the College’s financial stewardship, digital ecosystem, ICT operations, cyber security, data governance and enterprise risk framework. The position plays a central role in advising the CEO and Board on financial sustainability, capital management, technology investment and long-term organisational resilience. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will partner with the CEO and Board to strengthen financial resilience, lead digital transformation, and ensure the College’s systems, data and cyber security are fit for the future.
This role is ideal for a senior leader who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, technology, risk and strategy, and who is motivated by purpose as much as performance.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Executive-level leadership experience across finance and technology in complex organisations
- Deep expertise in financial governance, compliance, audit and investment management
- Strong capability in digital transformation, enterprise systems and cyber risk
- A collaborative leadership style and strong Board-facing capability
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, IT or a related discipline with strong financial governance and compliance expertise
- Demonstrated success in digital transformation and enterprise systems delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including Board-level reporting
- Experience in complex, regulated or member-based organisations (desirable)
