The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a well-established not-for-profit organisation with a strong history of supporting Victorian communities since 1978. The Centre delivers integrated specialist services across crisis response, early intervention, therapeutic support, education and prevention for individuals and families impacted by sexual and family violence. Operating across the Barwon, Wimmera and South West Victorian regions, the SAFV Centre works in partnership with communities and service systems to provide accessible, coordinated and trauma-informed support. The organisation also delivers the Victims Assistance Program across Barwon and the South West region, supporting victims of crime more broadly. With a strong commitment to recovery, safety, inclusion and prevention, the SAFV Centre plays a vital role in supporting individuals while working to promote gender equality and prevent violence.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant is a trusted partner responsible for the smooth and effective operation of the CEO’s office. You will provide high-level, confidential support across executive workflows, communications, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement, enabling the CEO to focus on strategic priorities. The role extends beyond traditional support to include coordinating CEO-led projects and strategic initiatives, monitoring progress, managing risks, and supporting cross-functional collaboration. You will also contribute to governance and compliance by preparing Board and Committee papers, taking accurate minutes, and maintaining governance systems and documentation, while supporting the integration of trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Executive Assistant with a strong track record supporting senior leaders in complex environments. Highly organised and strategic, you bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities with discretion. You are confident handling high-volume correspondence, coordinating projects, and engaging stakeholders, with strong attention to detail and follow-through. Resilient, adaptable, and solutions-focused, you work effectively both independently and collaboratively. You are proficient in Microsoft 365 (experience with tools like ClickUp is advantageous) and hold relevant qualifications. Experience in the community, health, or human services sector, along with familiarity with governance and organisational change, will be highly regarded.
