We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a well-established People & Culture team within a large, national organisation operating in a complex and highly regulated environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong HR generalist with solid partnering capability to step into a permanent role.
About the Role
Reporting within the Employee Support function, this role partners closely with leaders across operational and corporate areas to deliver practical, timely and compliant HR advice.
The position blends hands-on case management with partnering and capability development. You will work across a diverse workforce and support leaders to confidently manage people matters while strengthening overall leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to manage employee grievances and complex case matters
- Provide guidance on the investigation process and support leaders through disciplinary and performance matters
- Interpret and apply employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements when managing cases
- Coach and mentor leaders to build confidence in people management
- Contribute to organisational change initiatives and workforce planning activities
- Support and mentor junior HR team members
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery
About You
You are currently operating as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar within a medium to large organisation.
You bring:
- Strong HR generalist experience with exposure to case management
- Experience supporting leaders through grievances, performance and conduct matters
- Sound understanding of industrial instruments and employment legislation
- Experience working in operational or regulated environments
- The ability to balance compliance with pragmatic business outcomes
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior HR colleagues
- A desire to grow into a Senior Partner role over time
This role will suit someone looking to deepen their partnering capability and step into a broader senior scope, rather than someone already operating at executive level or in a specialist ER/IR function.
