Davidson is working with a federal government client who is seeking an experienced Human Resource Analyst.
About the Role/s
This role will assist in delivering annual remuneration reviews for staff engaged locally in our overseas missions and maintain the departments global salary analysis model, ensuring strategic alignment, data integrity, and defensible decision-making across 100+ overseas missions. The role requires high-level technical and professional expertise in HR, accounting, Excel (including PowerQuery), and analysis of remuneration and economic data.
Key Responsibilities will include;
Remuneration Review and Analysis
- Conduct annual reviews of LES remuneration (salary and non-salary benefits) salary scales across 100+ overseas missions.
- Apply actuarial data and market intelligence to determine salary adjustments.
- Ensure consistency, defensibility, and strategic alignment of remuneration decisions.
- Address special measures in complex locations (e.g. hyperinflation, currency and political instability).
Model Maintenance and Enhancement
- Maintain and enhance the departments remuneration analysis model (currently Excel-based).
- Perform annual rollovers of data, remap PowerQuery connections, and validate formulas.
- Implement minor modifications as required to improve usability and performance.
- Ensure the model supports centralised data processing and scalability across all countries.
Data Management and Documentation
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and centralisation of all data inputs.
- Document assumptions, rationale, and methodologies used in decision-making.
- Provide clear, defensible records for approval and audit purposes.
- Maintain reciprocal data sharing arrangements with key like-minded organisations.
- Complete or coordination completion of data surveys for contracted market data suppliers.
Market Data Procurement
- Lead procurement of remuneration data from market data suppliers.
- Liaise with external suppliers to source high-quality, representative data.
- Integrate market data into the departments remuneration model for comparative analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Senior Administration Officers and Heads of Missions/Posts at overseas missions.
- Incorporate local context into salary decisions through direct engagement.
- Provide strategic advice and support to stakeholders in complex environments.
Survey Coordination
- Manage the annual data survey process across all overseas missions.
- Request, track, and validate survey returns to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
Strategic Advice and Quality Assurance
- Provide high-level professional advice on remuneration strategy and methodology.
- Contribute to quality assurance, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and manage risks related to remuneration decisions and data integrity.
Professional Representation and Collaboration
- Represent the department in professional engagements with external providers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external professionals to resolve complex assessments and ensure positive outcomes for all parties.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- The role requires high-level technical and professional expertise in HR, accounting, Excel (including PowerQuery), and analysis of remuneration and economic data.
- To be considered for this role you have to be an Australian Citizen and residing in ACT.
- If, you have a NV1 Security Clearance this will be highly regarded.
