About the Company

Our client is a large, complex organisation responsible for the planning and delivery of critical infrastructure projects across Queensland. With a significant portfolio of capital works underway, they are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a well-established project environment.

About the Role

Working within a Program Management Office, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, accessibility and integrity of project and contract documentation.

You will support project teams, leaders and external delivery partners, ensuring documents are effectively controlled, reviewed, approved and maintained in line with relevant standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing project and contract documentation within electronic document management systems
  • Maintaining document naming conventions, version control and access permissions
  • Coordinating document reviews, approvals and distribution
  • Tracking document changes, revisions and document history
  • Supporting the administration of electronic Document Management Systems
  • Assisting with training and guidance for document management system users
  • Facilitating document retrieval and access for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring documentation practices align with relevant standards, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Working closely with project teams, contractors and consultants to support document control requirements

About You

You will be an experienced Document Controller or Records Management professional who is confident working within a complex, project-driven environment.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

  • 2+ years' experience in Document Control, Records Management or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of document control principles, version control and document management practices
  • Experience using electronic Document Management Systems
  • Exposure to project, infrastructure, engineering or capital delivery environments will be highly regarded
  • Experience with InEight, TeamBinder or similar contract document management systems is desirable
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 quality management environments is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident stakeholder communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams
