Reporting to the Deputy General Manager Asset Delivery & Care, the Divisional Manager Major Projects will lead the Major Projects division, overseeing some of the state’s largest and most complex water infrastructure projects.

You will:

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of major projects including new treatment plants, major sewer infrastructure and novel strategic asset projects
  • Drive project delivery outcomes through development of strong strategic relationships with delivery partners
  • Ensure fair commercial outcomes, governance and risk management on all projects
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring capability uplift, career progression and a sense of shared purpose
  • Build strong relationships with internal peers and external stakeholders, ensuring best-practice knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

You will be a key member of the Asset Delivery & Care business unit management team, fostering a united and collaborative culture across divisions. To be successful in this role you will be a seasoned leader with a good combination of technical project experience and broad leadership capability.

You will have:

  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale, technically complex infrastructure projects, ideally in the water sector or comparable industries such as energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial facilities
  • A strong commercial and contractual background, with experience working for, or alongside, tier one contractors
  • The ability to engage at Executive and Board level with clarity, confidence, and gravitas
  • A firm-but-fair leadership style that fosters constructive relationships while protecting the organisation’s interests
  • Proven ability to work at pace on high-stakes projects while staying connected across broader organisational priorities
