Reporting to the Chief Fundraising and Partnerships Officer, the Director of Fundraising & Engagement is accountable for leading the RFDS Victoria’s fundraising and engagement portfolio, shaping a cohesive growth engine that builds broad public support while deliberately developing long term value. You will lead the planning and execution of integrated, multi-channel fundraising initiatives across acquisition, retention and pipeline development, ensuring a disciplined, data led approach to performance and supporter growth. With responsibility for delivering against the Fundraising Growth Plan, you will optimise channel mix, strengthen supporter journeys and embed scalable operating models that enhance lifetime value. The role also brings the RFDS brand to life through purposeful events and community activation, deepening engagement and connecting supporters meaningfully to the organisation’s mission and impact. Leading a small but high-performing team, you will provide stability and continuity while also shaping the future structure and capability of the function.

To succeed in this role, you will bring senior leadership experience across mass marketing fundraising and donor engagement and retention, with a strong track record delivering measurable growth outcomes. You will drive multi-channel growth across community fundraising, events and donor programs, bringing the RFDS brand to life through targeted activations that deepen engagement and strengthen supporter connection. A confident and collaborative leader, you bring a blend of not for profit and commercial sector experience, a contemporary approach to campaigning, and a clear understanding of best practice in complex organisations.
