Frankston City Council is entering a new chapter under new leadership, with the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer and the establishment of a contemporary Executive Leadership Team. The organisation is reshaping its executive structure to create a collaborative, outward-looking and high-performing leadership group focused on whole-of-organisation leadership, clear strategic priorities and delivering meaningful outcomes for the community.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director City Advancement will lead Council’s critical city shaping agenda, driving growth, investment, liveability and long-term prosperity. The role oversees planning, development, place activation and economic development, delivering an integrated and future-focused approach to growth and community outcomes. Working closely with Councillors, government, industry and key stakeholders, the Director will help shape Frankston’s future through strategic partnerships, investment attraction and transformative city-shaping initiatives.
To be successful, you will be a highly accomplished executive leader with significant experience leading complex city growth, planning, development or investment portfolios within highly regulated environments. You bring a strong track record in strategic growth, transformation and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams. A commercially astute and influential leader, you are recognised for your strategic thinking, political acumen and ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. You combine strong leadership capability with a collaborative, values-led approach and a focus on delivering sustainable organisational and community outcomes. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
