About the role
We’re looking for a DevOps / Scrum Master who can bring rapid delivery structure, cadence, and clarity to a tech delivery model - then uplift internal capability so the team can sustain the model independently.
In addition, this role will lead the practical adoption of agentic AI accelerators to improve engineering throughput and delivery quality (requirements, testing, and ways of working), with a strong focus on coaching and safe, repeatable practice.
Key responsibilities
Delivery leadership (Scrum Master core)
- Establish and run end-to-end sprint rhythm and delivery ceremonies
- Facilitate backlog refinement with a focus on “ready-to-build” standards
- Drive continuous improvement and ensure actions from retros are implemented
Planning, estimation & forecasting
- Introduce fit-for-context estimation methods and coach the team
- Improve predictability using throughput/velocity tracking and lightweight forecasting
Offshore coordination & delivery assurance
- Create and maintain a workable operating model between onshore + offshore teams
- Ensure offshore work packages are complete, unambiguous, and executable
- Run structured partner touchpoints and manage escalations/blockers early
Agentic AI-powered delivery acceleration 🤖🚀
Engineering acceleration (Claude and similar tools)
Establish practical patterns for using AI to accelerate engineering, including:
- Story breakdown + solution shaping
- Code scaffolding and refactoring assistance
- Code review support (risk/edge cases, consistency checks)
- Documentation generation (runbooks, ADRs, release notes)
Requirements & quality acceleration (agentic tools)
Introduce agentic workflows to improve:
- Requirements capture, validation, and completeness checks
- Dependency identification and acceptance criteria quality
- Test case generation, regression impact analysis, and test coverage improvement
Plus you’ll:
- Recommend fit-for-purpose tools (including “agent” tooling) and embed into ways of working (e.g., Jira workflows)
- Run coaching, pairing sessions, office hours, and “how we use AI here” guidance
- Build reusable prompts/templates and lightweight governance to ensure repeatable, safe use
- Support onboarding into the AI-enabled delivery approach
- Identify and prioritise rapid, value-focused prototypes/automations (ticket triage, summarisation, release comms, QA accelerators, Definition of Ready validators)
Note:
All AI adoption must align to internal security/privacy guardrails and policies.
Experience & skills
Required
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master / Delivery Lead in software delivery
- Track record improving delivery cadence, planning, and predictability
- Strong facilitation skills (planning, refinement, retros, workshops)
- Experience working with offshore delivery partners
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management
- Practical experience using AI tools in engineering delivery (e.g., Claude, copilots, agentic workflows)
Preferred
- DevOps mindset and exposure to CI/CD, release governance, and operational runbooks
- Jira workflow optimisation and backlog hygiene experience
- Familiarity with AI governance patterns (prompt standards, safe-use guardrails, evaluation, traceability)
- Demonstrated experience building lightweight automations / internal tools (“vibe-coded” solutions)
